Is Alfred Mutua's star waning?

That Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has been the most visible governor
in Kenya is not in doubt. He has presided over many projects; the
Machakos park, a chicken rearing program, and a techno city are just
some of the projects that he has opened. And yet recent events do not
augur well for the governor. Of course, there is the well known
opposition from Wavinya Ndeti, Johnstone Muthama, his own Deputy
Governor, and of all people, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
However, while one could dismiss his political enemies as motivated by
envy and lose of the power to Mutua, allegetions of corruption by EACC
put a damper on his otherwise rising star. Even then revelations that
the recent 30km road that Mutua opened is already pot holed, may
seriously dent Alfred Mutua's star which has been on the rise ever
since he became governor. It is a predicament which Machakos residents
should not face.
